excellent productJan 27, 2011
By J. Lorenz I purchased California Baby shampoo and conditioner for my daughter before she was born based on the recommendations of the Cosmetics Database. My daughter is now two years old and has an eight-month-old brother. Neither of them have used any other kind of shampoo or conditioner and we have never had to deal with any tears because of shampoo or conditioner. These are gentle, mild, and effective. They are fragrance-free but have a very gentle and pleasant smell to them. We do not have issues with tangles even in my daughter's long, fine hair. Even when the conditioner has gotten in her eyes a few times, it hasn't seemed to bother her any more than plain water; she just blinks it out. And after two years of use, we still have half a bottle left of each product! Even just a little bit of it goes a long ways. I highly recommend California Baby's products and feel that the initial cost is well worth it. You will not regret buying this product.

I use this on my 9 month old. We like it, but it does have a faint sort of unpleasant scent (like "bad" almonds). Not sure if I will buy it again when it runs out. We also use cetaphil for cleaning her hair and body.

A great face/body wash for sensitive skinApr 29, 2005
By D. Barthel I have VERY sensitive skin and this is the only product that doesn't cause excema flare-ups. I mainly use it as a face wash, but if my scalp is getting irritated, I use it as a shampoo, but it makes my fine hair very knotty. It has virtually no fragrance and rinses clean.
Great conditioner for mixed hairJan 25, 2012
By Jennifer Dickey I've been using California Baby for a long time (more than 10 years) but this is the first bottle of Super Sensitive conditioner I have used that has a distinct urine odor to it. It works the same as it always has, just smells funny.
I am mixed (Slovak, black and Cherokee) and my children's father is white and native. Our sons hair is thick and straight and our daughters hair is more like mine and curly. It really tames my daughters frizzy hair and brings the curl together well when used as a leave in. No other product necessary. Or son has pretty manageable hair but the conditioner does make it softer.
After some time and the weather getting warmer I have to downgrade my review. The conditioner smells so bad when the temperature is warmer that I just can't use it anymore. My daughters head smells like pee, yuck.
Best option for babies with eczema, dandruff and/or sensitive skinNov 21, 2011

"Amazon Junkie"
I love the California Baby Super Sensitive products. I tried everything from Johnson's to Mustela products and it wasn't until I started using the Super Sensitive shampoo/bodywash that her flakes completely cleared up. As in gone completely within days! Her hair is so soft and shiny now and while these products doesn't have a strong scent (intentionally), she smells lovely and clean (like a baby should) after her bath. I even bring it with us when we travel now because the times when I have used a different product (even only 1 time) on her, the dry skin comes right back.
After being so impressed by the shampoo, I bought the conditioner, too. I just condition the back of her head where her hair tends to get ratted up from her flannel sheets or car seat fabric. After using the conditioner, her hair stays much smoother all day and I don't have to deal with knots or anything like that when I brush her hair in the morning.
CB products are a little more expensive, but I think they are worth every penny. Recommend 100%
