5GREAT FOR VITILIGO!!!Oct 17, 2009
By A. Davis
I bought this product at Sophora and I am glad to say that I LOVE IT! Maybe Kat didn't invent it for vitiligo but it's the best I have tried and I've tried so many things! It is smudge proof and waterproof if you don't swim or use soap. Just use some translucent powder to set it, and boy, will you be impressed! I read on another site that it's only used for white people but it's not true. I am a shade darker than Halle Berry and I use Cocoa and that's it! A miracle! THANKS KAT!

5It really does work if you use the following....Oct 06, 2010

I bought it yesterday at Sephora. I had them match up what color shade was compatible w/ my skin, so i got to see it work on one my tattoos before i bought it. I will upload my pic to amazon when i get the chance.

This concealer really does work, and i bought it because I trust Kat. She's a tattoo artist, I'm a tattoo artist... and from one artist to another, she would def know what it takes makeup wise to conceal something (my opinion). Anywho, i was really impressed in the store, and i bought the correct shade for my skin, the tattoo eraser pencil, and the powder that YOU HAVE TO HAVE in order to set it.

we tried just the concealer alone w/o the powder & w/o the tattoo eraser, and IT WILL NOT CONCEAL W/O THE POWDER/eraser. i have the pic to prove it. W/o these products, it just puts a brown shade over your tattoo (i was testing it over a black tribal wrist band i have - which is darker then the one i orig. bought it for), so it's important you get the powder to set it and the pencil, or else it's just like any other concealer, worthless.

I was just going to go in thinking the concealer would work alone w/o the powder, and then just buy the concealer. No i am so glad they did the sample on me, cuz you totally have to have that powder to set it.

So here's what I went with: Makeup Forever Paris Duo Mat (price was steep in sephora, $32, cost more then Kats concealer), Kat Von D tattoo concealer - shade Light - $25, Sephora Eye Liner - white $5.00 (they didn't have any of Kat's tattoo eraser, and her eraser is a light pink to combat the blues/blacks of tattoo inks). I wouldn't know how Kat's eraser compares since they were out, but Sephora's White eye liner pencil did the job of erasing the tattoo and concealing it great!! So if you want to keep price low, go for Sephora's eye liner pencil - white one. $5.00 (Kat's pencil is $14)

To the person below who needed to cover up the back tattoo for the wedding, you must not of applied it right or maybe didn't have ALL the proper products to conceal it. W/ the powder and the eraser, that tattoo will cover up! W/o it, it won't. Next time do it the right way, before you totally just go up and bash a product line w/ your bad review cuz you didn't do it right.

4Covers well, but needs two coats, very small bottle.Jan 26, 2011

I have a very large green and black celtic cross on my back that I had to cover for a wedding I was in. I used the pencil (tattoo eraser) and this light concealer. It does need two coats (with drying in between) and I needed to use my own powder to match the color to my skin (I'm a natural redhead and it dries very close to my skin tone, but still needed a little bit more color to match), but it completely covered and looked great. The bride was very happy.

I bought this tattoo concealer with high hopes. I went to Sephora, got a color match and bought all 4 steps. First the tattoo eraser is a light pink eyeliner that doesn't dry. I waited 5 minutes between applying the "eraser" and the concealer. As soon as I applied the concealer it pulled the first layer of the eraser off. I applied the concealer with the little brush that came with the kit and the concealer pulls itself off. Although it does provide some coverage it doesn't cover the tattoo completely (mine is small and not that dark either.) This concealer is very, VERY greasy and an hour after applying it still doesn't feel dry. Forget layering it. The setting powder does make it feel drier but I was hoping to add a second layer of concealer to try and get the coverage I was hoping for. Everything I've touched since "concealing" my tattoo has a beige smear on it. The only reason I didn't give this product one star is that it does cover a little better than regular ol' cheap coverup, but the difference is so marginal that I wouldn't waste my money again.

5Great Product!Sep 21, 2010

I love this concealer; it truely conceals tattoos, bruises, vericose veins, anything you want to conceal. I found this great blog that shows oyu how to apply it step by step here [...] I tried it with an HD powder, like they recommended in the blog and it keeps it on all day even in the water/while sweating.
