5An ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE in My Beauty BagOct 01, 2010
By HonestChica
Let me be honest, about 6 years ago, I first tried this product, and I just couldn't figure out why people loved it so much. The primer (and eyeshadow) was just not going on the way I wanted it. So, I set it aside, and I tried other products. After a year of no luck, I decided to give it another shot. I sat in front of my mirror for a bit; after a few trial and errors, I figured out my problem - I was using way too much AND putting the eyeshadow too soon. Only using three small dabs, it was the perfect amount. Of course, it took a bit of practice for the eyeshadow, but after some time, I was able to figure that out too. The key is to know how long to let it sit after smoothing the primer on my lids - for me it took only a few seconds.

The two things that I absolutely about this product: 1. how light and sheer it feels, and 2. the staying power! I'll use it in the morning, and at the end of the evening, my eyeshadow is STILL there.

I've been complimented so many times on my eyeshadow and have been asked many times how it stays on for so long.

So, I've been using this product for the past 5 years, and I absolutely LOVE this product.

I was so excited when Sin came out. I absolutely LOVE that also. I use the original mainly for my eyeshadows, and I use Sin alone.

The only thing that may have been a drawback was how messy the bottle can get. Some of the product can spill out on the side, etc. However, just like how the application took a bit of practice, trying to keep the product clean took a bit of practice as well.

But in my opinion, this product is worth the messy self-education... :)

3What's the big deal?May 10, 2011

This stuff is okay, which is why I gave it 3 stars. I've had better and I've had worse. It gets my makeup on and keeps it on all day, doesn't crease. My COMPLAINT is that it dries my skin and makes it look gunky... is that even a word? My eyes start looking like a 60-year old's. And I barely apply it, so it's not like I'm caking it on or anything. After using it for a few weeks, I had to stop because of the dryness. I started applying lotion to correct the dryness. I used Ucerine cream, which by accident I found works as a PERFECT eye primer!!! Yes, I know... Ucerine cream as an eye primer?? Isn't that what old people use on their elbows or something? Get over that assumption and pick up a big tub for all kinds of uses, including as an eye AND face primer. It's El Cheepo and works awesomely! I just put the smallest amount on my entire face and a bit on my eyelids and my foundation and eye shadows stick and stay stuck ALL DAY!!! AND my skin stays baby soft and moisturized, no clogging of the pores, which it also says on the tub. YAY!! Another eye primer that is fabulous is Mary Kay's. I love this stuff. I wouldn't purchase Urban Decay eye primer again. Too expensive and dries my skin out, at least in my experience. But I will suggest using Ucerine cream. It's a perfect primer : D

4Longwear PrimerMay 16, 2011

I have been using this primer for about 8-9 months now and so far it has been a good one! I was expecting a thicker primer something along the lines of the Mac Paint Pots at first but this primer is a lot lighter. It glides on and dries quickly and this one blends in with most skin tones that I have used it on so no primer lines on the eye lids. It brings out colors well for a natural look. If you are using it with brighter colors then I would suggest something a little more heavy duty like the Mac ones. I have used this one with a bright green, yellow and blue shadows (not together though) and they stay on most of the day but I find them fading a little in brightness. But using it with browns, golds, black and other more neutral colors, it works great!

When I first stated using the primer it helped my oily eyelids stay matte all day but after 2 months it doesn't work as well as it used to.

4AWESOME!Jan 11, 2011
By Glitterlicious "Shopaholic J"
This stuff is the BOMB and honestly one of the best primers out there, but UDPP has to DUMBEST packaging possible - I plan to open it up and depot it. I did buy the "professional" size which is a squeeze tube but am bummed to find out that much of the product is wasted due to the bottle.

I do have to say that some ladies I have talked to have found it takes a little while to find the right amount that works for you. I use a lot . . . while others use a little. I dab dab it to blend it and then let it set for about 3 minutes.

It is awesome, plain and simple.
